Message:
Guru is the bestower of peace and all comforts. Attachment to Parmatma, the Creator, is in the sanctuary of the Guru. With Guru’s darshan pain is dispelled; one gains bliss and in joy praises Parmatma. The love of Parmatma, the Creator, is like a majestic nectar that is blessed to those whose karma has made them worthy of it. Slowly, one is able to be absorbed in the love and praise of Parmatma; perfecting oneself until one is pure and Parmatma is all that one desires.
Reflection:
The journey towards Parmatma begins in the sanctuary of the Guru, but is progressed only with dedication, true love, innocence and honesty. Bhagat Naam Dev was a devotee of Parmatma because he had grown up in a home where his parents were respectful, loving and dedicated to their faith. As Bhagat Namm Dev grew older his love for God also grew but he did not understand the real essence of God. However, with time, his innocence and honesty towards his faith is what helped him ultimately achieve Parmatma’s darshan.
We must never give up. With our Guru’s grace we must carry on with complete subservience and we will then achieve our spiritual goals.
