Message:
All that transpires in our current lifetime is predetermined by our karma. When we find ourselves in unpleasant, difficult or painful situations, it is the consequence of our karma from this life and past lifetimes. We can not blame others for this. Instead, we need to work on ourselves by concentrating on the attributes of Parmatma, the Creator, and how we can develop these virtues. Through Sat da Sang we journey through inner purity and can be cured of our pain and suffering.
Reflection:
Our actions throughout our past and current lifetimes lead us to our current circumstances. Sudama was Bhagwan Krishna’s best friend. During childhood both had studied together. However, Sudama did not put in efforts to develop the virtues of honesty and integrity that he saw in Bhagwan; he created his own fate of difficulties. We too should remember that our fate is determined as a result of our own actions and thoughts, others can not be held responsible for our suffering.
