<strong>Message:</strong>
Paramatma is omniscient and knows everything; Paramatma, created the world and everything in it. Therefore, nothing is hidden from The Creator. The Creator knows us better than we know ourselves, including our weaknesses and struggles. We may be able to hide our flaws from others, but nothing is hidden from The Creator’s sight. Paramatma decides from the outset the destiny of each soul. Those that Paramatma bestows grace upon are connected to The Creator through the meeting of a Guru and they are dispelled from the darkness of their vices. While others, Manmukh’s, are made to follow their own self desires and as a result are engrossed in worldly attachments.
<strong>Reflection:</strong>
Knowing that Paramatma is omniscient should allow us to trust the Creator’s will and timing. Though we may not have all the answers, as our knowledge is limited and finite, we must trust that Paramatma knows all the potentialities of our situations. The difference between Bhai Pathang and Jamal Khan was that Bhai Pathang was unwavering in his faithfulness and dedication to his guru even in the face of difficult circumstances. He had complete trust in his Guru and was without greed. On the other hand Jamal Khan, although speaking the truth, was focused on material possessions and had not accepted that his loss of wealth was Paramatma’s will.
Devotion to a Guru helps one obey the Creators process and timing and understand how to remove faults and vices. Thus moving one from the darkness of ignorance to the light of Paramatma’s knowledge and love.
