Message:
Those who do not serve their Guru and thus do not act on Guru’s command are devoid of spiritual wisdom and are caught in the repetitive cycle of life, death and rebirth.
One who is given the ability and opportunity to serve their Guru are only able to do so with Paramatma’s blessing, as a result of desiring it and working towards it. It is one’s Guru that possesses the real treasure of Paramatma’s constant remembrance through which one can attain moksha and be one with Paramatma. Guru shares this treasure with those who attune themselves to Guru’s teachings and command. Through following and putting Guru’s teaching into action, one’s love for Paramatma becomes true and everlasting. They are united and do not become separated from Paramatma ever again.
Reflection:
Without focusing on the length or outcome of the journey, we should keep a clear focus on acting on Guru’s teachings. As Param Sant Ram Singh Ji explained, Paramatma always stands with the truth. Truth can be delayed but it is never undiscovered and in the end truth prevails with Paramatma’s blessings.
When one has complete faith and is equally true in one’s thoughts and actions Paramatma’s love is attained. We can not give up and fall short of our duty towards Paramatma by feeling that it is without purpose as did Hassan Basri.
The mind will try to mislead us to wander as that is the mind’s enate nature. But we must use our intelligence and wisdom gained from Guru’s teachings to remain still and steadfast in our faith. Only then can we progress on the spiritual path and liberate ourselves from our struggles just as Bhai Mukhtiar was able to do. He got past his initial hesitation and obtained the desired result, from the challenge he was facing, by keeping complete faith towards Param Sant Ram Singh Ji’s spiritual guidance.
